Cyberpunk 2077 Dev admits that it provided assurance to Sony and Microsoft about QA fixes that were never made

Speaking in a Q&A with investors, CD Project RED has fully addressed the status of the PS4 and Xbox One versions Cyberpunk 2077, openly admitted that Sony and Microsoft had trusted the studio to make the necessary fixes before release – hence it was able to pass the certification process – which very clearly did not happen.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, the last-generation versions of the epic sci-fi title starring Keanu Reeves don’t work well on Sony and Microsoft consoles. And it seems that the studio has given false guarantees to format holders about QA fixes that have never actually been seen through.

In terms of the certification process and the third parties – this is definitely on our side. I can only assume they were confident that we would fix things at release, and clearly that didn’t coincide as we planned.
