Cryptic Xbox Series X Tease is driving fans wild with speculation

A new scourge from a prominent Xbox Series X insider is throwing Xbox fans out of their minds with speculation. Until now, 2021 has been a slow year for Xbox gamers. Last month, The medium, an Xbox exclusive console, was released, but it failed to set the world on fire. Later in the year, Xbox fans have Halo infinite and more to look forward to, but right now there isn’t much to rave about, that’s not Xbox Game Pass, which added some great games this week.

That said, prominent Xbox insider, Jez Corden, seemingly dropped a tantalizing tease this week. On Twitter, Xbox co-insider, Goggles, criticized the gaming media for an alleged lack of knowledge when it comes to Xbox first-party and what Microsoft is trying to do with the brand. Respond to this, Corden replied with “we haven’t seen anything yet” followed by “oh boy.”

As you can see, this answer is quite cryptic in meaning. On the one hand, it appears that Corden is suggesting media recordings on Xbox are on the verge of deteriorating. Given Corden’s insider reputation, and given his tendency to drop vague teasing from time to time, many Xbox fans have taken this as a tip of the hat that something big is about to happen with Xbox. And of course it is possible that both things are true at the same time.

Interestingly enough, this all stems from rumors that Microsoft is gearing up to take Techland, the developer behind the Extinguishing light series. Today, however, the Polish company shot down these takeover rumors.

Microsoft is an unimaginably large company with a ton of resources to throw around, and Xbox has been a prime example of that for the past 12 months. Microsoft is not only dumping a ton of money into acquisitions, but is also expanding aggressively.

For now it is unclear what Corden means or what will become of the possible teasing. That said, this uncertainty hasn’t stopped Xbox fans from going crazy for speculation in the answers and elsewhere.
