Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, a former Real Madrid player and currently at Juventus, and his former teammate Sergio Ramos, are considered by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) as the best players of the UEFA decade, while the Argentinian Leo Messi (Barcelona) and Brazilian Neymar, also a former Blue and now at PSG, were the best of Conmebol.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who has already become the top scorer in football history, already precedes Ramos on this institution’s list Manuel Neuer, goalkeeper of the Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, Messi and Neymar lead at the Conmebol table for another ex-Barcelona player, Brazilian Dani Alves.

On a female level, the best Uefa players are the German Dzenifer Marozsan, the Norwegian Ada Hegerberg and the French Wendie Renard; and from Conmebol the Brazilians Marta, Christiane and Formiga.

South Korean Heung Min Son tops the list for Asia, ahead of Keisuke Honda from Japan and Salem Al Dawsari from Saudi Arabia; while the Japanese Homare Sawa, Samantha Kerr and Saki Kumagai they lead the women’s list.

Egyptian Mohamed Salah leads the African table ahead of Senegal’s Sadio Mane and Algerian Riyadh Mahrez, and the best player on the continent was Barcelona forward Asisat Oshoala.
