The church’s restaurant chain is announcing that it will kick off 2021 by force, launching a sandwich they believe will become a classic of the chain, the new Pechu Criollo.
As of today, the new sandwich can be found in more than 110 chain restaurants on the island. Pechu Criollo is prepared with the new Creole water bread and with a real marinated and breaded breast fillet in every restaurant, just before serving to the guests. In addition to the breast fillet, the sandwich has romaine lettuce and fresh tomatoes, melted American cheese, and mayonnaise.
“It has been 30 years since the first chicken sandwich was introduced on our menu. That sandwich quickly became a favorite and is still on our menu today as one of our top items. Other sandwiches have been added to the original chicken sandwich over the years that are also a chain favorite. Today a new phase in the evolution of the church’s sandwiches begins with the arrival of the new Pechu Criollo. The taste of a good Creole bread is what makes it accepted by our guests, along with the other components of the sandwich, ”said Guelmari Sosa, the chain’s marketing director.
This new sandwich was developed in Puerto Rico, like most of the products the chain serves locally. Only fresh products are used to prepare it and to ensure their quality and freshness they are prepared at the time of ordering.
In support of the launch, Pechu Criollo is being offered for a limited time along with one of 14 add-ons and a Pepsi for $ 5.99.
