COVID NYC Update: Costco to Offer COVID Vaccines in New York City

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) – Costco will soon offer COVID-19 vaccines in five states and Puerto Rico.

New York City is included under the new locations.

The membership-based store said it will administer shots “as soon as they become available.”

But being a Costco member doesn’t guarantee you can sign up for the recording.

Costco said it has only a limited number available and it would follow fitness guidelines in each state.

“Costco is committed to helping protect the health and safety of our members and employees and to serve our communities,” the company wrote in its announcement.

The stores in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island will receive the vaccine as soon as it is available.

Costco asked its customers not to contact their local retail pharmacy to schedule appointments. Instead, customers should visit the website.

The company said they expect to primarily administer Moderna vaccines.
