MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The state reports that there are 1,625,800 people who have completed their vaccine series, and nearly 667,000 more have received at least one dose. As of Monday, Minnesota has administered 3,731,185 doses of vaccine.
Meanwhile, the Minnesota Department of Health reported a total of 1,292 more cases and six additional deaths from the virus on Monday.

The latest figures from those hospitalized show 172 Minnesota Minnesota in the ICU. The overall figures show that hospital admissions continue to rise sharply as more cases of the UK variant are reported, with an average of 12.8 new daily hospital admissions per 100,000 inhabitants. Anything above eight hospital admissions per 100,000 is considered high risk.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, there have been 557,665 positive cases and 7,026 deaths.

The moving average state positivity rate is now 7.4%; at the beginning of March it was 3.5%. Anything above 5% is considered a cause for increased caution. In addition, the rate of dissemination within the community remains high, with 44% of reported cases with no known source of exposure. The warning line is drawn at 20%.
According to MDH, Minnesota has processed 23,183 COVID tests since the last reported numbers. More than 3.91 million minnesotans have been tested since the start of the pandemic.

The current census also indicates that 85% of seniors (65 and older) in Minnesota are now vaccinated. The state also reports that 52% of minnesotans ages 16 and older have already received at least one dose.
