COVID-19 Vaccine: Texas Gives City of Houston 3,000 Additional Vials of Treatment, Mayor Sylvester Turner Said

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner announced that the state of Texas has decided to give the city of Houston 3,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Turner said during a toy ride Saturday that the vaccines will be specifically for city health workers. Then they will move to hospitals and retirement homes, such as nursing homes.

Along with Congressman Sheila Jackson Lee, the two continued to push for the need for residents to take the vaccine, but said the children living in Houston deserve some sort of normalcy this holiday season.

The Pfizer vaccine has arrived in the Houston area, and hundreds of health officials have already started using it.
