Courteney Cox is finally reunited with fiancé Johnny McDaid

Courteney Cox reunited this month with her fiancé Johnny McDaid after nine months apart.

The 56-year-old actress recorded a video message with McDaid, 44, in which they thanked frontline workers in Derry, Ireland, where McDaid is from.

In the clip, the pair can be seen in the countryside, apparently in the UK, as Cox says: ‘We want to thank all the people from Ráth Mór in Creggan for all the incredible work you have done this year.

“Well done guys, thank you so much for all the work – it’s so appreciated,” added the Snow Patrol musician. ‘And I know it has been a very difficult year, but there is a great 2021 ahead.’

The video was posted to Twitter on December 11 as part of a community initiative.

It’s the first time the couple – who live on different continents – have been seen together in nine months, when they were forced apart by travel restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Cox revealed in October that she hadn’t seen her fiancé in more than 200 days.

The former Friends star said goodbye to Johnny in March when he returned to the UK a day before the lockdowns took place, but she insisted she didn’t feel too lonely without him.

‘At first I thought: wow what am I supposed to do with myself? I cook every day, I learned to cook so much more, I perfected it …, ‘she told friend Foy Vance on his’ Vinyl Supper’ podcast and video series.

“I haven’t seen John in all those days, he left when the land was closed the day before,” she added.

“Sundays are different, I miss a lot, although people are starting to say,” Okay, people have been quarantined, everyone is safe, “they love coming to the beach, so I’m not that lonely.”

The 56-year-old star was grateful that two friends volunteered to stay with her amid the global health crisis, because she is too ‘chicken’ to be left alone with her 16-year-old daughter Coco.

It’s not clear why the Scream star chose not to travel earlier to see her beauty, as there is no ban on US travelers entering the UK.

However, as of March, non-US citizens / green card holders have been banned from flying to the US from the UK and Europe.
