Health officials made the announcement today to speed up the delivery of the shots.
Massive vaccination sites like these have opened or will open soon in other parts of the state, including Dodger Stadium in Los Angles and Disneyland in Orange County.
It’s all part of the governor’s plan to speed up the vaccination process as soon as possible.
Fresno County is joining other parts of the state in an effort to speed up vaccinations.
“I can boldly tell you today that Fresno County is leading the way in rolling out these vaccines. We’re not having the kind of problems you’ve heard about in the counties around the state of California,” said Steve Brandau, Fresno County supervisor.
As the state faces record COVID-19 deaths, the fairground is now open for primary care health workers to receive the shot.

Eligible recipients will enter the Kings Canyon Road parking lot and go to the Ag Building, where the vaccines will be administered Monday through Saturday.
The province said it plans to vaccinate at least 75% of its residents by the summer.
“This week, if you’re in healthcare, come down. Next week, if you’re in the older population, then you qualify and we really want to reserve those slots for that population. we start with our food and agricultural workers, ”said Dr. Rais Vohra, Fresno County interim health officer.

Fresno County has a population of just under one million people, with data showing that nearly 76,000 residents have tested positive for the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.
The province plans to open more of these super sites soon to make the vaccination process much more efficient
“There will be five locations on Friday. Now the county is talking to an additional 100 providers and as we get more vaccines, we will soon get that into the hands of the public and those individuals who need it most,” said Nathan Magsig, supervisor from Fresno County.
