Coronavirus denier Ted Nugent tests positive for COVID-19: ‘I Thought I Was Dying’

Rock musician Ted Nugent announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus in a live video on Facebook in which he repeatedly used racist insults to refer to COVID-19, spat on the ground, and promoted conspiracy theories against vaccines.

“Everyone told me not to announce this,” the conservative rocker said in the video Monday.

Nugent, a staunch supporter of ex-President Donald Trump, previously called the pandemic a scam and has spoken out against public health restrictions.

“I’ve had flu symptoms for the past 10 days. I thought I was dying. I mean, just a cluster fuck, ”Nugent said in the video. “I’ve got the Chinese shit.”

Nugent said he had a “stuffed head” and “body aches.”

“My God, what a pain in the butt. I have literally been unable to get out of bed in recent days. But I did, I crawled, ”he said.

Nugent said he was now quarantined.

Still, he reiterated his refusal to get a COVID-19 vaccine – a position he first took last year in spite of regulatory approvals and public health experts around the world who found the shots safe and effective.

“Nobody knows what’s in it,” Nugent said incorrectly in Facebook’s live video. “If you can’t even honestly answer our questions about what exactly is in it and why are you testing it on people in such a short time and pushing it on people?”
