Connecticut’s largest COVID-19 vaccine drive-thru clinic opens Monday morning.
Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford is being converted into a 10-job mass vaccination clinic.
There, the Pfizer vaccine will be administered by the Community Health Center.
Vaccines are available by appointment only for those under tier 1a and 1b. From Monday, people over 75 with appointments can get vaccinated.
People aged 75 and older who have an email address and the ability to schedule an appointment online can make an appointment through the online Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS).
They can also call 877-918-2224 to make an appointment. State officials are asking that only people 75 and older call the number, as they expect high call volume.
The drive-thru clinic is open January 18-22 during the first week of work. From the following week, the clinic will be open seven days a week, by appointment only.
