In this way it was announced that the Guatemalan Mario Escobar Toca will be the central referee of this alliance at the Morera Soto. This whistler will participate in the next Club World Cup to be held in February.
Escobar Toca will be assisted by fellow countryman Gerson López and Costa Rican Víctor Ramírez and Guatemalan Bryan López will also be the fourth official.
According to Concacaf, the Assistant Referee 2 who was originally appointed for this match was unable to travel to Costa Rica in time due to travel issues to ensure that all Concacaf protocols were met.
In accordance with the competition rules, the governing body has appointed a local FIFA assistant referee to replace it.
It should be remembered that problems like this have already occurred in this Championship and that’s how it happened in the Olympia vs Managua match, when the whole foursome couldn’t travel to Honduras and were called Honduran whistlers.
The first finalist of the Concacaf League will emerge from this game between Alajuelense and Olimpia. The other finalist will be known next Friday as Saprissa from Costa Rica and Arcahaie FC from Haiti meet.
