Company will pay you $ 2,400 to run 24 hours without a screen

It’s hard to imagine life without screens these days … but what about 24 hours? A whole day without social media, emails, video games or news.

A business is willing to pay you $ 2,400 if you can use it.

Reviews.org – a company that reviews products and services designed to make your home smarter – is running a “Digital Detox Challenge,” where lucky participants get $ 2,400 to go without technology for 24 hours.

Anyone in the US over 18 and burned out from work, doom scrolling, binging, gaming, and the like is encouraged to register for the challenge.

Challengers chosen by the company will receive a vault to store all of their technology during those 24 hours, along with a $ 200 Amazon gift card to help create a “technology-free survival kit”. The challenger chooses a day that works for them within a specified two-week period to start their screenless 24 hours.

Off-limit technology does not include your microwave, but it does include cell phones, tablets, smart watches, TVs, game consoles / portable gaming devices, computers or laptops, smart home devices such as smart speakers or smart vacuum cleaners, and all wearable technology.

At the end of the 24-hour period, Challengers will submit screen time reports to prove they haven’t touched their screen for an entire day.

Do you think you are up for the challenge? You can sign up for the 2021 Digital Detox Challenge at Review.org here. Registrations are open until 3:00 PM EST on March 26 and challengers will be chosen on March 29.

It is unclear exactly how many people will be chosen to participate in the challenge.
