Club América: Paul Aguilar was able to strengthen Club León and that stopped him

During an interview for ESPN, the now former player of the Eagles of America Paul Aguilar, revealed that he was getting close to bolstering current Mexican football champion León for this 2021 Closing Tournament of Liga MX.

Despite the interest shown by both sides so that Paul could reach out to La Fiera after being released after the Apertura del América 2020, Aguilar was able to play in the team led by Ignacio Ambriz but was unable to reach an agreement with Directive.

“I had a rapprochement with León, but we couldn’t come to an agreement either. They’ve opened the doors for me and it’s situations that arise, ”he said.

“I am calm, enjoy the family and this month I took I was able to visit my city in Sinaloa because I had to part with my family and was calm. In the end I was able to have a nice race. Today I have new goals, challenges outside of football and if this doesn’t happen I will find a team ”, he said.

Finally, he revealed that there is interest from several MLS clubs to obtain his services and his representative is currently analyzing all options to see which one is already the best at this final stage of his career.

“I wouldn’t frown if I retired to MLS. My family is American and it gives me a bonus to be able to retire in the United States. My rep has spoken to several teams and there are two or three approaches but nothing concrete and they are in no rush as they don’t know when the tournament will start and I have been training, jogging to keep up and if it’s not without conditions arrives. Ultimately, whether it happens or not, I have to get on with my life and stay in shape to be in the best way possible, ”he noted.
