Cleveland Browns WR’s little son Ryan Switzer back in hospital

CLEVELAND – Brown’s wide receiver Ryan Switzer said his son has been hospitalized again and is undergoing a blood transfusion.

Switzer posted the latest Twitter update on Christian on Sunday, saying he has it another transfusion after his hemoglobin dropped overnight. Switzer said doctors should have the boy’s blood count added so that he is stable enough to be tested further.

Switzer asked his followers for prayers.

Earlier this week, the 26-year-old father posted a video thank the audience because of the overwhelming outpouring of support for Christian, who underwent surgery last week after being hospitalized for bleeding. Switzer had said doctors were still not sure what was causing the bleeding. Born in May 2020, Christian had also tested positive for COVID-19.

Switzer wrote Saturday night that Christian had and was more “significant bleeding” back in the hospital

“We are frustrated but even more exhausted when we see our son suffer,” Switzer wrote. “We ask for prayers for the doctors as they work to find a diagnosis and strength for Christian as he fights.”

Switzer played in Cleveland’s exhibition team last season. He was with the Pittsburgh Steelers for two seasons after being called up by Dallas in the 2017 NFL draft from North Carolina.
