Clerk found shot dead in Arlington Convenience Store – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Arlington police are looking for a man they say was shot at a shop assistant early Sunday morning.

At about 5 a.m., a customer entered the EZ Mart in the 100 block of East Bardin Road and found that the receptionist was unresponsive on the floor behind the counter, police said.

The man, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead in the shop.

Police said surveillance footage from the store showed a man entering the store at around 3:30 am, shooting the victim multiple times and taking various items from the store.

The man fled east on foot on Bardin, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man of slim build and long hair with a red baseball cap and jacket and a dark colored shirt.

There had been no phone calls or alarms from the store before the customer who found the man came in, police said.

Shortly before the shooting, someone else had been in the shop. Police hope to talk to that customer to determine if they saw anything.

EZ Mart has offered a $ 5,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the suspect in the shooting. Anonymous tips can be given by calling Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-8477. You can also tip by calling Detective Jennifer Rodriguez at 817-459-5650.
