City Hall is suspending access to Costco for over-capacity ELIMPARCIAL.COM

During the Municipal Government’s Department of Inspection and Verification operations this Sunday, access to the Fast Track’s Costco store was suspended because it exceeded the permitted capacity to protect health.

In addition to the fence to reduce the flow of people in, a fine was imposed for not respecting the healthy distance within that establishment. Access was restricted for a few hours as the evacuation progressed; Controlling the situation allowed customers to come in with stricter protocols to comply with the health authorities’ stipulations.

Likewise, the entrance to the Coppel Plaza Sendero branch was suspended, as the required distance was not respected, nor the allowable influx enforced; after evacuation and retention of authorized capacity, activities were resumed.

Tijuana City Council is urging the population to take preventive measures such as using mouth covers, antibacterial gel, keeping a healthy distance, washing hands constantly and most importantly staying at home to prevent massive infections from Covid19.
