Chrissy Teigen remembers her son Jack on what would be his due date: ‘We love you forever’

Chrissy Teigen was moved to pay tribute to her son Jack on what would have been his due date on Saturday.

The 35-year-old model shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of her wrist adorned with bracelets with the names of her children, including one for Jack.

She and husband John Legend, 42, announced that their son Jack was stillborn in September after experiencing significant bleeding.

“Today was your due date,” Chrissy wrote with the gloomy photo. ‘We love you forever,’ she added with a purple heart emoji.

She also wore block letter bracelets for her children Luna, four, and Miles, two.

The Chrissy’s Court star thought about her pregnancy loss in February when she revealed on social media that she was feeling ‘a little crazy’.

‘my little jacket was supposed to have been born this week so I’m kind of gone,’ she tweeted on Feb. 3. ‘I really feel kicks in my stomach, but it’s not a phantom. I’m going to have surgery tomorrow for endometriosis … but the menstrual feeling this month is like baby kicks. sigh. ‘

Chrissy and John announced they were expecting their third child in August 2020, but in September she began to share some of her struggles with heavy bleeding.

She revealed she lost her child in a haunted series of black and white photos shared on Instagram.

‘We’re shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We never managed to stop bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough, ‘she wrote at the time.

“To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first moments of your life were so complicated that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you. ‘

Chrissy was seen sobbing on her hospital bed and her husband consoled her in another heartbreaking photo as they rocked Jack’s body.

Earlier in February, Chrissy appeared on her friend Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show where the topic dealt with her pregnancy loss.

Ellen called her ‘super brave’ for sharing the unpainted photos of the hospital, which Chrissy said seemed ‘so long ago’.

“ Even when I think back to it now, I’m still in therapy about it and I’m still coming to terms with it, ” the Bring The Funny judge said via People.

‘I have maternity clothes and there are things I bought before my eighth and ninth months. So it’s just hard because he was supposed to be born this week, so when you look at those things you have these constant memories. ‘

Chrissy was happy that she “grew up in a household that was very open about loss,” which helped her see how “a beautiful thing can be.”

“It was really transformative for me and in a way it really saved me because I don’t think I would have discovered therapy and then sobriety and this path of feeling good about myself and feeling like a new person.”

She added that her children helped Luna and Miles keep Jack’s memory alive.

“It was so nice to see my kids talk about him,” Chrissy said. “Let’s go to the beach or something and they’ll say,” Is baby Jack with us now? Do you think he’s over the moon? ” It’s just so beautiful and so sweet. ‘
