Chrissy Teigen defended her newfound love of horse riding after being criticized for sharing videos of her hobby during the coronavirus pandemic.
Over the weekend, the 35-year-old model told fans she had started driving as part of her therapy following her pregnancy loss last year.
“My therapist says I need something that I only do for myself because I’m having absolutely nothing fun right now. Today my journey to the horse world begins. I hope this guy likes me. he’s so handsome and seems lazy, I love, ”she tweeted on Saturday.
But one critic denounced the celeb for saying she had “nothing” during a pandemic, when many people can’t even put food on the table.
“Many people are unemployed and struggling to feed their families during a pandemic. Maybe now is not a good time to say you ‘have nothing,’ so you bought a horse to entertain yourself, ”the reviewer tweeted.
Teigen then clarified what she meant in her original tweet.
“A lot of you have really misinterpreted this tweet and I think that’s just me,” she wrote. ‘I didn’t say I have nothing, I said I have nothing that I only do for myself. A conversation with a therapist. A hobby. Because I lost a baby. And I’m figuring myself out. And I did not buy a horse. But oh my god what if I did “
When another troll responded again saying that Teigen must be ‘poisoned by wealth and privilege,’ she said wrote back, Why do you read this so often? Boredom.”
And when the troll went on to beat the model, she shot back, “I understand. What do you want from me, an essay about me, about you? It’s my Twitter. I’m talking about me?”
Teigen suffered a pregnancy loss after complications in October 2020.
The following month, she revealed that she had been sober for four weeks.
Teigen and husband John Legend are the parents of daughter Luna, 4, and son Miles, 2.
