Chrishell Stause responds to criticism of family photos

Chrishell Stause understands her family’s criticisms during the coronavirus pandemic, but makes no apologies.

The ‘Selling Sunset’ star, 39, addressed fans’ angry comments on a series of group photos she shared – saying she and her family were tested for COVID-19 before and after their party.

“For those raising their concerns about Covid, I understand and agree that this was not a good use of my platform. Normally I always try to be socially responsible with my posts as I am a compassionate person by nature. I can see that some don’t show this, ”she wrote on Instagram.

Stause, whose friend Keo Motsepe was also in the photos, said her followers may disagree with the group meeting, but she hopes they can “see where I’m from.”

“This is the first Christmas without our mother, we felt important to be there for each other in a difficult year,” she wrote.

Stause’s mother died of cancer in the summer. Her father died in 2019.

As for Motsepe, she said, “Keo brought such welcome happiness and selfishly I posted at a very happy moment.”

Stause – who said goodbye to “This Is Us” star Justin Hartley last year – earlier this month confirmed her romance with Motsepe, a “Dancing with the Stars” professional. She and Hartley were married for two years.
