Chris Noth responded to a few devastated fans, who flocked to his social media begging him to return for the Sex and the City revival series.
After noticing an increase in comments asking him to break his silence on whether to play his role as Mr. Big, the 66-year-old actor suggested that recent rumors that he would not be involved are false.
“Well, if Page Six says it … it must be true,” he replied on Sunday with a nod to an Instagram follower.

Last week, it was reported that the reboot currently in development for HBO Max would not feature his iconic character.
Insiders told Page Six that Noth will not be in the reboot And Just Like That, which will air on HBO Max in a ten-episode series that will revisit the hit franchise.
Noth appeared in the role, who was the boyfriend and later husband of Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker on the show and subsequent films.

In the storyline of the series, Bradshaw and Mr. Big interacted with each other over the course of the show and exchanged vows in the 2008 film, while dealing with marital troubles in the 2010 sequel.
Noth continues to pursue other endeavors, appearing on shows such as The Equalizer, with two films in pre-production: Brooklyn All American and Someday Sometime.
David Eigenberg, Steve Brady, the romantic interest of Miranda Hobbes, the character of Cynthia Nixon, will not return. and series regular Kim Cattrall, amid bad blood with Parker.

Parker opened up about the creation of the new project earlier this month in a pre-recorded clip that aired during a virtual benefit to Central Park Conservancy’s Playground Partners program, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
She said the idea initially came up “ during the shelter ” orders last spring during the COVID-19 outbreak.
‘I want to say around April or May … I was listening to a podcast and that occurred to me [showrunner] Michael Patrick King and I had never talked about our experience working and producing the show, ”Parker said.
She added that the idea went from a procedural podcast to an extension of the hit series, this time about contemporary issues brought on by the pandemic.


Noth continues to pursue other endeavors, appearing on shows such as The Equalizer with Queen Latifah
“New York closed in a way that affects a lot of other people too, because it’s the center of finance, it’s the center of culture, you could say, and the silence was deafening,” she said. “All these conversations became a big part of our indoor experience, Michael and I just got really interested.
“And so was born – and just so.”
Production on the project is expected to start this spring.
