Chris Hemsworth Seeks Specialist Treatment At Gold Coast Hospital For ‘Serious Back Injury’ As Filming Continues For Thor: Love and Thunder
Chris Hemsworth appears to be the strongest and most muscular he’s ever been filming Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney.
But it seems the Marvel superhero has had a minor setback and suffered an acute back injury in recent weeks.
According to Sunday Confidential, Chris, 37, recently sought treatment at a private hospital on Queensland’s Gold Coast, near his home base in Byron Bay.

Chris is in intense training for both his fourth Thor movie and an upcoming biopic for WWE struggling royalty Hulk Hogan.
The publication claimed it is unclear how Chris sustained the injury, but appeared to be on the mend.
Chris’ severe back pain and swelling are believed to have been seen by ‘specialist doctors’ who administered cortisone injections into the Australian actor’s back.
Understandably, hospital visits were kept short and Chris did not have to stay after treatment.

Chris has previously spoken about his back pain, after telling Men’s Health UK in March 2019 that he needed to change his training and diet to keep the injuries from becoming ‘a hindrance’ while training and filming the Thor movies.
Chris told the publication at the time, ‘On certain days, if I’ve had a few injuries – and I’ve had quite a few during Thor – it can get in the way, you know? But over the past year, I’ve changed a lot of my exercise and nutritional program, and I feel the best I’ve ever felt. ‘
‘I’ve noticed that after lifting weights for so long and not coming into contact with my fast-moving fibers, the snapiness my body had [has gone]. In the dad’s race at my kid’s school last year, I hadn’t done a sprint in about five years – then, boom, you go and do a 100-meter sprint at full speed. My back was arched for weeks, ”he admitted.

‘I still have to do some sprint work, I think. It just hurts. Running is painful. For that reason I don’t do much running. I’d rather have mobility in my body through surfing and get that fluidity that I enjoy, ”Chris said.
Chris and Spanish actress, wife Elsa Pataky, both currently have film commitments in Sydney on separate projects.
The Hollywood couple have so far managed to fly back and forth from the New South Wales capital to their coastal town of Byron Bay to be on set with their three children in between takes.
The flight takes about an hour and 15 minutes.
The couple, who share daughter India Rose, eight, and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, six, live in a $ 30 million mansion in Broken Head, near Byron Bay.
