Chris Hemsworth has criticized the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for its lack of diversity after a report found that it currently has no black members.
The 37-year-old Thor star joined a growing number of celebrities by posting the hashtag #TimesUpGlobes and his message on Instagram on Sunday.
“Hollywood Foreign Press Association: Not a Single Black Member Out of 87,” the Time’s Up post reads, along with a photo of a cracked Golden Globe trophy.

Amy Schumer, Rashida Jones, Ellen Barkin and Amber Tamblyn are some of the other celebrities who also show their support.
It comes after a report from the Los Angeles Times revealed that the HFPA, which runs and hosts the Golden Globe Awards, currently has no black members out of 87 international journalists.
The HFPA is a not-for-profit association of journalists who primarily report outside the US on the US entertainment industry.

The 87 members from over 50 countries include several people of color, but not a single black member.
On Thursday, the HFPA released a statement promising to implement an ‘action plan’ with the goal of having a more inclusive and diverse member body.
“We are committed to ensuring that our membership reflects the communities around the world who love film, TV and the artists who inspire and educate them,” the statement began.

“We understand that we need to bring in black members, as well as members from other under-represented backgrounds, and we will immediately work on implementing an action plan to achieve these goals as soon as possible.”
The group’s membership is female majority, with over 35% of HFPA members coming from non-European countries.
The organization added that they are investigating to change their rules to increase their pool of applicants in the future.
