Chizuru Kagura has been announced for King of Fighters 15 at the Japanese fighting game developer’s roundtable.
She will join her classic comrades Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami to form Team Sacred Treasures in the new title.

After provoking their fan base a week ago, SNK has confirmed that Team Sacred Treasures will indeed appear as an official team in King of Fighters 15 with the highly anticipated return of Chizuru Kagura, along with Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami.
The trailer features footage of Chizuru returning to the series after an 18-year absence with her last playable appearance way back in King of Fighters 2003.
As the first character to join the game and not be part of King of Fighters 14, this also makes Chizuru’s 3D debut with a wonderful recreation of her shadow-like movement in the series’ new graphics style.
The story implications of reuniting the three Sacred Treasures remains to be seen as the three have never been an official team in a game before. In lore, the three had to work together to destroy Orochi, so there must no doubt be a very big threat to put their differences aside and team up again. You can check out her gameplay trailer below.
