The Clásico between Chivas and América yielded an “ugly” defeat for the former and a “big” victory for the latter. The Flock collapses and the Eagles take off, still in second place in the overall rankings
Hernán Pereyra, in the Podcast ‘It is and it is‘, is of the opinion that America practically controlled the game from start to finish against a very “poor” Guadajara. The coach Víctor Manuel Vucetich is one of the big ones responsible because he could not read what was presented during the meeting.
Santiago Solari clearly “won the game” Vucetich for controlling it, beating him in a landslide. Apart from two goals for the rojiblanco team, he had no better chances in the match.
Pereyra highlights the pressure exerted by the azulcrema team, who closed the spaces, imposed numerical superiority, and handcuffed the Chivas without Vucetich being able to respond.
Unable to decipher the rival’s plan, Guadalajara paid the consequences with a painful victory at home.
Pereyra points to defender Antonio Briseño, who he says “doesn’t fall into the category” in the Chivas, as he was passed and is responsible for two goals for the Eagles.
Despite a catch-up action and a deficit on the scoreboard, Guadalajara tried nothing else. He searched with the same formula, but changed only a few players, and after the ouster of Miguel Ponce everything fell apart.
Another criticism of Vucetich is that he “inexplicably” removed José Juan Macías, who was not responsible for what happened because he simply had no opportunities.
Finally, Santiago Solari keeps covering his mouth, playing to keep the rival under control, and Henry Martín is inspired. On the Guadalajara side, there were no football ideas because Vucetich did not pass them on and is responsible for the defeat.
“Chivas has a mediocre squad, it’s lost and without a compass … It’s like this and Full Stop.”
