Chiefs put WR Demarcus Robinson and C Daniel Kilgore on the reserve / COVID-19 list

The Chiefs currently don’t have any contributors, but they could both return in time for Super Bowl LV.

Kansas City placed wide receiver Demarcus Robinson and center Daniel Kilgore on the reserve / COVID-19 list, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday. Neither player is a positive, however, and if they continue to test negative they should be available this Sunday to play against the Buccaneers, Rapoport added.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed the inclusion of his two players on the list, saying they found out last Sunday that they were considered close contacts.

“They’ll get through it,” said Reid.

Neither player has done much in the postseason, but nonetheless left their respective mark on the team’s second consecutive Super Bowl run. Robinson, who has started several games in place of an injured Sammy Watkins, finished the regular season as the Chiefs’ third leader with 45 catches for 466 yards and three touchdowns. He had five receptions against Tamp Bay in Week 12.

Kilgore has made four starts and is considered an important reserve given the team’s diminishing depth on the attack line.
