Kansas City Chiefs and Los Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the uniforms they will wear for the Super Bowl LV and there will be no changes to the traditional colors of each team. On the one hand, the Chiefs in their red jackets are jumping on Raymond James Stadium, while their rival wears white.
According to ESPN, both teams have defined the uniforms for Sunday and this election stands out because the Buccaneers can wear white in the middle of his stadium, in a historic event as it is the first time that a team contesting the Vince Lombardi trophy will have the chance to play in his stadium.
Tampa Bay becomes the administrative site and so they had the opportunity to use the white sweater with gray pants. These uniforms are very similar to the ones they wore in 2002, the year they won their only Super Bowl.
Happy target?
According to the sports network’s report, the teams running the white uniform in the Super Bowl they usually get the championship. In the last 16 championship games, the champion wore the white jersey 13 times and so have the New England Patriots.
So, from title XXXIX, the target usually has better luck. Interestingly, the two Vince Lombardi trophies the Patriots lost to the Giants with Tom Brady on the field used his traditional blue uniform.
Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl XLV, Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII and the Chiefs changed that trend last year with uniforms that were not white.
