Cheryl Burke has publicly apologized for previous comments on previous ones Dancing with the stars partner Ian Ziering.
In 2016, Burke described the Sharknado star as her “least favorite” celebrity partner on the ABC contest series, going so far as to say that the experience “made me want to slit my wrists.”
The TV host and ballroom pro first apologized on Twitter for her comments in 2016. Although she did not apologize directly to Ziering at first, but rather expressed regret for her choice of words.
Now in an episode of the Pretty screwed up podcast, Burke addressed her past controversy directly.
“The only thing I really regret and want to make up for is Ian Ziering,” said Burke. “I was completely off the line a few years ago, and I did a podcast where they asked me who my favorite partner was and who I hated the most. And I answered Ian Ziering, and I said something like ‘I’m cutting rather my wrists by dancing with Ian Ziering again. ”
