Chelsea transfer round-up: Major decisions on defensive duo like Kelechi linked Iheanacho

The news all around Chelsea At the moment, the focus is on the club withdrawing from the proposed Super League following a backlash from fans.

That news eclipsed Tuesday night’s scoreless draw against Brighton, which was another indicator that – despite tremendous progress in recent months – the squad is still not quite at the highest level.

However, the Blues are in good spirits thanks to their FA Cup final qualification and their place in the Champions League semi-finals as they compete for a top four slot this season.

Thomas Tuchel will look ahead to the summer transfer window – his first at the club – and will no doubt keep an eye on potential purchases as he offloads some fringe players.

Here are the latest transfer rumors from Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old has played 14 first-team games for the Milan giants and has entered into an impressive defensive partnership with Simon Kjaer, with the club having a € 28 million (£ 24 million) option to sign him permanently.

These latest reports suggest that Tomori will finalize his move to Italy.

Chelsea signed Malang Sarr as a free agent last summer after his release from Nice, but he was immediately loaned to FC Porto.

That’s according to a report in Portuguese outlet A Bola – according to Sport Witness – who says the defender failed to impress, either centrally or as a fullback for Porto.

Indeed, the France Under-21 international has played for Porto’s B side in recent weeks.

Blue eye Iheanacho

Chelsea may be looking for a new striker this summer with questions about the future of both Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.

The Blues are now linked with a deal to sign Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho, according to a report in Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Iheanacho joined the Foxes from Manchester City in 2017 and despite struggling for long stretches for minutes on end, he excelled this season with 15 goals and five assists in 31 appearances.

Indeed, 10 of those goals have come in the Nigerian’s last seven appearances and the report also claims Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in the player.
