The first free practice of the Grand Prix of the Emilia Romagna from Formula one is interrupted with red flag, after an incident involving the Mexican Sergio “Checo” Pérez (Red Bull) and the French, Esteban Ocon (Alpine).
With 22 minutes to go, the first free practice in Imola (Italy) was interrupted with a red flag due to the damage sustained by the cars of Esteban Ocon and Sergio Pérez.

The session is halted because Sergio Perez has a problem with his left rear wheel – and Esteban Ocon suffers additional damage ????

The car of Esteban Ocon was damaged front right and the Czech Pérez left back, but both riders got on their own two feet.
Spaniard Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) defends his first position in the last 12 minutes of the session.
What happened in the accident with Checo and Ocon?
While there is no clear video where the incident can be seen, everything seems to be Ocon bears the greatest responsibility, the case is being investigated by the commissioners.
“I’ve only had it from the driver’s perspective, but it looks like Ocon was on a slow lap and Sergio on a fast lap and there was contact between the two guys in that corner,” said Christian Horner, Red’s chief. Bull crew.
