Charlotte FC’s renovations at the Bank of America stadium will begin in March

According to a report by Sports Business Journal, Charlotte FC plans to begin football-specific renovations at Bank of America Stadium in March 2021.

Renovations reportedly include an update to the east side of the stadium, which will house the supporters section, a new player tunnel, and new suites for players and staff. Eight new broadcast positions are being added for football-specific angles and there are plans to expand the surrounding plaza.

The project is reported to cost $ 50 million and will continue through the Carolina Panthers 2021 NFL season. The updates are expected to end by the time Charlotte enters FC MLS.

Charlotte FC is scheduled to start playing in 2022 and become the 28th MLS team.
