Justice Minister Domingo Emanuelli Hernández and Bayamón Interim District Prosecutor Lizzette Sánchez Vázquez reported that Judge Aida Meléndez Juarbe, of the Bayamón Court of First Instance, had identified probable grounds for arresting Kevin Alvarado Matos, 25, for assault against a minor, a $ 190,000 bond.
The investigation of the case was conducted by prosecutor Glorimar García Ríos in conjunction with agent Idaliz Rosado of the Vega Baja Sex Crimes Department.
The events took place between December 2020 and January 22, 2021 in Toa Alta. The minor’s father is the one who found the suspect in hiding in the family home.
Alvarado Matos was charged with sexual assault, Section 130 of the Penal Code.
The defendant did not pay bail and was therefore put in prison.
The preliminary hearing was scheduled for February 9, 2021.
