The Chargers have requested an interview with the Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, like Ian Rapoport of NFL.com tweets. The former Cowboys head coach is said to be one of many candidates to interview after firing Anthony Lynn.

Garrett set a regular season record of 85-67 for the Cowboys in nine seasons. Although they fell short in the playoffs, Garrett remains a highly respected attacking spirit. He also played quarterback in the league for nearly 15 years, which made him a solid choice for developing a youngster Justin Herbert. Of course, last year hasn’t been an exciting season for the Giants, but there is plenty to do in Northern New Jersey.
The Chargers will also be looking at Bills’ offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL.com (op Twitter). Daboll is also attacked by the Jets, who are closely watched Josh Allentransformation in 2020.
So far, the Chargers have put at least three candidates on their HC list: Garrett, Daboll and Titans Offensive Coordinator Arthur Smith. It’s worth noting that competition for Smith will be fierce – all six teams with openings have asked to meet the 38-year-old.
