The first qualifier in the 2021 Capcom Pro Tour season has just been completed and as promised by Capcom, we got a trailer with our next fighter right after.
Of course, we already know very well that that fighter is Rose, coming out tomorrow, and while we’ve already gotten a lot of footage from her, this trailer does a great job of showcasing everything Rose has and entails in a concise way.
In the trailer we get a fantastic look at Rose herself, her various V-Skills, V-Triggers, V-Shift and V-Reversal, her new remixed song, the remake of her classic stage and a nice combo showcase for shows what Soul Power is capable of in the right hands.
As a defensive character she has traditionally been, Rose appears to be a natural fit for the current Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition meta that appears to have shifted significantly with the recent balance changes and the introduction of the new mechanical V-Shift, leading to to a game that is likely to reward more with zoning and stay away than in the past.
You can find more in-depth details about Rose’s special moves and her anticipated playing style in previous pieces we’ve published.
Rose will be out for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition tomorrow, April 19, as the second character of the game’s fifth and final season with Oro, Rival Schools guest character Akira Kazama and a currently unknown final character following her later this year.
