Centura Health is postponing the second day of the Broadmoor World Arena mass vaccination clinic

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Centura Health) – At Centura Health, the largest healthcare system in the region, the safety and wellbeing of our caregivers and patients is our top priority. As a result of deteriorating weather conditions, Centura, in partnership with CovidCheck Colorado, has made the decision to reschedule Sunday’s drive-through mass vaccination event.

Anyone who will receive their vaccine at the Broadmoor World Arena on February 14 will automatically be invited to receive their first dose on February 20 at the originally scheduled time. Participants will receive a confirmation by e-mail; you don’t have to call. The event is by invitation only.

Despite the cold, Centura Health and CovidCheck Colorado celebrated the first day of the drive-through clinic on Saturday, vaccinating more than 2,300 people. Our resilient team of health workers and volunteers vaccinated more than 268 people per hour. Those who received the vaccine Saturday included people over 70, educators, existing Centura patients, and individuals from underprivileged and disadvantaged communities.

Centura continues to be grateful to COVIDCheck Colorado, El Paso County Public Health, and all of the local agencies and organizations that have worked together to bring this life-saving event to our communities. We look forward to another successful event on Sunday 20th February.
