Celebs have a lot of nice to go after Hilaria Baldwin.
Stars like Kathy Griffin didn’t waste time on Twitter as Alec Baldwin’s wife, who is a yoga instructor, is accused of faking her Spanish accent for years and lying about her name and origins.
Griffin, never one to shy away from controversy joked“If we can decide to be the ethnicity our parents took us to on summer vacations, then I have a Saugatuckian accent descended from a long line of Michiganders” – in reference to Hilaria’s confession that she was born in Boston, but ” spent part of my childhood in Boston, part of my childhood in Spain, my family… is over there in Spain, I’m here. ”
Hilaria’s bio on her agency’s speaker site said she was born in Mallorca, Spain – until Monday when they removed that detail in the wake of the controversy surrounding the mother of five.
Griffin then turned to a clip that surfaced again showing that Hilaria, 36, claimed not to know the English word for cucumber, Griffin joked, “How could I know the English word for cucumber ??? #hilariabaldwin. “
Famous fashion editor Joe Zee also joked about the cucumber clip, shared a cucumber emoji and write in a separate tweet, “Well, I didn’t have the ‘Hilaria Baldwin is a white girl from Boston who faked a Spanish accent and her background’ on my 2020 Bingo card, but hey, 5 more days!”
Comedian Michelle Collins threw barbs at Hilaria as well as famed hothead Alec, tweet: “I don’t think two people have ever earned each other more than Alec and Hilaria Baldwin. I’m sorry … IIIhhhlahhría Baldwin … Anyone who is on Hilaria’s side exists on a different spiritual level than I do. “
Meanwhile, both Kim Richards and Kyle Richards from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” responded with crying emojis to a meme featuring Kim making fun of Baldwin.
And “Catfish” hosts Nev Schulman joked, “In this week’s episode of #catfish, we’re helping @AlecBaldwin find out if @hilariabaldwin is really who she says she is …”
Both Alec, 62, and his model daughter, Ireland Baldwin, have defended Hilaria for the past few days.
