UPDATE 4:00 PM PT – Saturday April 3, 2021
The CDC has released an update on travel guidance to allow fully vaccinated Americans to travel without being tested or quarantined afterward. While travelers were still expected to take security measures, many shared the joy of falling back into some sort of normalcy.
People completely vaccinated against #COVID-19 can travel within the United States and do not require COVID-19 testing or post-travel self-quarantine, as long as they continue to take precautions while traveling: Wear a mask, avoid crowds and wash your hands regularly. https://t.co/9uzBuFZyWE pic.twitter.com/C7V8Ip0jJv

Despite an increasing number of infections, the CDC assured that it is safe for Americans to start traveling two weeks after receiving their last vaccine dose.

“I love it,” said traveler Todd Baham. “Everyone loves their freedom to some degree. We want to return to a kind of normalcy. So I’m fine with it, but I’m also not against anyone who isn’t. For each his own. “
The updated guidelines are expected to provide much-needed relief to the travel industry, which was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and struggled to recover.
