Casey Affleck has spoken out about his brother Ben Affleck’s breakup with Ana de Armas and has confirmed that he was not the mystery man spotted throwing out the actress’s cardboard cutouts.
‘No, I’m not, and I can’t even really tell if they broke it for good or whatever. I’d leave that up to them to talk to, ”Casey, 45, told“ Entertainment Tonight. ”
‘A number of people sent that photo to me and I wanted to tweet a joke, a reaction or something. And then I couldn’t think of one and a joke didn’t seem appropriate. And I don’t have Twitter, so that wasn’t going to work. But it certainly wasn’t me. “
Photos of two men in masks and hats discarding the cutouts went viral shortly after news broke that Ben, 48, and de Armas, 32, had split up after nearly a year of dating.
A source told Page Six that the former couple broke up because they had children together; “The Way Back” star couldn’t commit to having children with the “Knives Out” actress, who is in her 30s and thought it was a “deal-breaker.”
However, Casey isn’t worried about the Armas after the heartbreak.
“And I think Ana is just the sweetest, funniest, smartest, most charming person,” he said. “I don’t think she will have any problems meeting anyone else.”
Of course he will be there to support his brother during his difficult time.
‘I think she’s a catch in every way. And I’ll be there to help Ben through it, but I don’t think he’s going to have any problems [either], ”Casey added. “My advice to them would be, ‘Yeah, think about it a lot, because quarantine is no fun when you’re single.'”
