Experts on the conservative network are holding their pearls this week during the rapper’s steamy Sunday night awards with Megan Thee Stallion.

In a follow-up tweet on Tuesday, the rapper personally thanked Owens for giving her performance airtime and boosting her sales and YouTube views.
This sparked a full-fledged Twitter beef. Owens took the bait and criticized the rapper’s dancing as well tell her, “You’ve turned into a slur on culture and what it means to be a woman.”
Owens’ complaints are nothing new. Conservatives reacted exactly this week as they did when “WAP” – a celebration of female sexuality – was first released. The song has been labeled demeaning, anti-feminist, vulgar and a whole lot more. Yet those same critics are noticeably less outraged by the dozens of sexually explicit songs by male artists.
Cardi B tweeted back, “Imagine WAP causing the downfall of the US empire and not North Korea bomb threats, terrorism, racism or bad governance?”
“THAT WOULD BE SO ICONIC !!!” she added. (In August, she referred the initial conservative uproar about her song with the same descriptor).
