The Grammy winner started on Twitter on Tuesday with conservative pundit Candace Owens.
Now, if you know what “WAP” stands for, you won’t be shocked by the stripper pole, provocative costumes and the two rappers who come close on a gigantic bed while performing.
Owens considered it “an attack on American values, American traditions” and accused the artists of “actively trying to get children to pursue things that are grotesque” with their prime-time act.
“We celebrate perversion in America,” said Owens.
“I’m just going to thank Candy (Owens). She put my performance on Fox News, which has given it more views that have increased views on YouTube and count towards my streams and sales,” the rapper tweeted. “Winking face with tongue. STREAM AND WAP. REMEMBER JUST PARENTS ONLY. YOU CAN MONITOR WHAT ELSE YOUR KIDS WATCH # 1 CAN DO.”
But things quickly changed when Owens and Cardi B exchanged tweets covering everything from race and gender politics to each other’s husbands.
Most of what was said is not suitable for family consumption, but let’s just say there were some nude photos involved and it ended with both women threatening legal action against each other.
Who says rap beef has to stay between rappers?
