Want to spend an exorbitant amount on a plain wool coat because some gray old man in a video game sports one too? Well, Capcom has just the deal for you.

Capcom recently launched a Exclusive replica in Japan of the jacket that Chris Redfield wears Resident Evil Village for the incredible price of ¥ 159,731 JPY, or just over $ 1,500 USD. It has no buttons and comes in four sizes: Medium, Large, Extra Large and a slightly larger “Original Model” that supposedly matches Chris’s in-game proportions. The official description also says that the “original model” is more like the actual piece of clothing that the developers 3D scanned in the game.

Interested parties can also purchase the jacket as part of two separate collection bundles containing Resident Evil Village and other trinkets such as an art book, a statue of Mr. Redfield and postcards.

All that aside … this is literally just a wool coat? A less than functional wool coat, since you can’t even button the damn thing when it gets cold. I’m not going to pretend I’m very fashionable, but Chris looks like he’s ready Resident Evil Village by hitting the local Macy’s. Basically a simple search for “wool coat” on the store’s website brings up a lot of options for much more reasonable prices.

Leon Kennedy’s Resident Evil 4 bomber jacket that Capcom sold back in 2016 at nearly $ 1,200, is a bit unique by comparison, and it even had a zipper.
