And it is that in an interview with Javier Alarcón via YouTube, the man from Guadalajara revealed that his father initially wanted his professional career not to be in boxing and led him to try his luck with the basic powers of the Atlas, something that never ended. by convincing the “Canelo”.

“I played football, actually they wanted to take me to the Atlas basic forces as a kid, but I already knew boxing then, I said, ‘I want to be a fighter, I don’t want a footballer, sometimes I just played (football) against fight myself “said the boxer.




Álvarez never had any doubts, he wanted to be a boxer and in case this didn’t come true another of his dreams was to become a Formula 1 driver, besides adding that he is not a person aware of football.
