It’s no secret that Cadillac would tease the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing at the Rolex 24 At Daytona. What we didn’t know was the size of the last teaser before the big reveal of both cars in early February.
Apparently the American carmaker wanted to take both the CT4-V and CT5-V out of the range during the endurance race, and surprise race fans with a first unobstructed look of the top dog Blackwing models.

From the outset, the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing don’t stray too far from the current V-series toppers, although you can immediately see modified front bumpers, particularly the shape of the corner intakes. The magnesium alloy forged wheels are of course shaped differently, and they look a bit bigger than the rims on the non-Blackwing models.
In addition to dropping the wraps, Cadillac also dropped a final 60 second teaser video for both performance sedans, which you can check out at the top of this page.
So, what do we know so far? Caddy relies on the premise of the “world’s fastest-responding suspension” on both sports sedans. The availability of a 6-speed manual tranny is already a fact, along with the carbon fiber seats that are said to be both heated and ventilated for the CT5-V.
Cadillac confirmed that the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing will be limited available. Previous reports said pre-orders are limited to 250 each model, with a $ 1,000 deposit required to secure the reservation. These early buyers will reportedly receive a number of exclusive freebies, including a Certificate of Authenticity, Cadillac V-Performance Academy enrollment and an unspecified gift.
The excitement won’t last as both Blackwing models are scheduled to be unveiled on February 1, 2021 at 7:00 pm EDT (12:00 pm GMT) via Cadillac’s livestream channels.
