Britney Spears assured fans she is doing well amid the # FreeBritney movement and a public reckoning of celebrity exploitation.

“Are you okay? Yes, I’m totally fine,” said the 39-year-old pop star in an Instagram video answering fan questions on various topics. “I am very happy. I have a beautiful house, beautiful children. I am taking a break now because I am having a good time.” Spears has two sons, Sean Preston, 15, and Jayden James, 14, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

It’s the second time Spears has alluded to her mental health after February New York Times presents documentary Framing Britney SpearsSet against the backdrop of her emerging career, the show drew attention to how the media treated Spears during her tumultuous time in the spotlight, including her 2007 collapse that led to a current conservatory run by her father Jamie Spears.

Last month, the pop star revealed in an Instagram post that while she didn’t watch the bubbly doc, she was “embarrassed by the light they added me” … I cried for two weeks and well … I’m still crying sometimes !!!! ”

Spears added, “It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability because I’ve always been so judged … offended … and embarrassed by the media … and I’m still up to that. to this day !! !! As the world keeps spinning and life goes on, we still remain as vulnerable and sensitive as humans !!! “

Meanwhile, the documentary inspired celebrities to apologize to Spears for public abuse. Justin Timberlake (who dated Spears from 1999 to 2002) said he regretted misogynistic comments about their sex life in the wake of their breakup. And this week, comedian Sarah Silverman reiterated regrets for toasting Spears and Paris Hilton at two different MTV Awards shows in 2007.
