Britney Spears blames her father Jamie Spears for having less time with her children

Britney Spears is reportedly blaming her father Jamie Spears for her reduced time with her two children.

The 39-year-old pop star blames him for her unfavorable custody balance because he allegedly assaulted her 15-year-old son Sean Preston, Us Weekly reported Friday.

The report follows Jamie’s allegation to CNN that he and Britney had been on “ good terms ” until August of this year, after which they had not spoken to each other.

“It’s outrageous that Jamie says he and Britney were on ‘good terms’ until August,” the insider said. ‘Maybe August 2019, but not August 2020.’

They continued by blaming Jamie, who runs Britney’s longstanding conservatory, for spending less time with Sean and her other son Jayden James, 14.

‘[Jamie] is why she has much less period of freedom with her sons than before, ‘the source continued.

The Jamie and Preston incident changed everything. It was a big blow to Britney. She, Kevin, Preston and Jayden have all seen Jamie differently since then. ‘

In September 2019, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline told police that Jamie got into a big fight with Sean, who was only 13 at the time.

Sean had locked himself in a room, but Jamie broke open the door and shook his grandson violently, TMZ reported at the time.

Although the Spears family patriarch was investigated by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, no charges were ever brought against him.

Kevin got a restraining order against his former father-in-law the same month.

Shortly after the incident, Britney and Kevin formalized a new custody arrangement, with the children spending 70 percent of their time with their father and 30 percent with their mother.

Previously, the parents had a 50-50 distribution.

Now Britney seems to blame her father for the significant reduction in her time with her boys.

However, at the time the new custody arrangement was agreed, it was reported that the Toxic singer and her ex had already unofficially followed the new custody arrangement, suggesting that she had chosen to spend less time with the kids before Jamie’s alleged sexual assault. .

On Tuesday, Britney’s father claimed he hadn’t spoken to her since August of this year, although he claimed their relationship went smoothly before.

“I love my daughter and I miss her very much,” he said. “When a family member needs special care and protection, as I have done for the past 12 years, families should stand up to protect, protect, and love Britney unconditionally.

“I have and will continue to offer unwavering love and fierce protection against those who are self-interested and those who wish to harm her or my family.”

Jamie was joined in the TV interview by his attorney Vivian Lee Thoreen, who argued that Britney’s lack of communication with her father was a strategy devised by her legal team.

“Jamie’s relationship with Britney isn’t that different from the average father-daughter relationship, in that there has always been mutual love and respect for each other,” she said.

Until Britney’s court-appointed attorney, Sam Ingham, gave Jamie an abrupt order a few months ago not to contact Britney, Jamie and Britney had spoken frequently and regularly throughout the conservatory. They had even spoken the day before and had a pleasant and mutual conversation. ‘

The Oops! … I Did It Again has limited her ability to make legal and financial decisions since 2008 when she suffered through a public mental health crisis.

In September 2019, Jamie took a break from his daughter’s curator amid his own health concerns, and her care manager Jodi Montgomery took over as curator.

In recent months, Britney has been trying to get Jamie out of the conservatory completely and permanently replace him with Montgomery.
