Bracketology Bubble Watch: Maryland faces off from Minnesota as teams compete for NCAA Tournament bids

This weekend started as productive for a few teams in the 2021 NCAA tournament bubble. Especially in the SEC, where Arkansas had its best win of the season so far with an overtime win over No. 10 Missouri, and LSU at home No. 16 Tennessee, 78-65, won for his best win of the season.

The Razorbacks and Tigers have each had their only wins over the infallible NCAA Tournament teams, and that’s especially good for LSU, who started the day with my last four teams in the bracket.

UConn also took a big win on the road, beating Xavier, 80-72, in the Musketeers’ return from a COVID-19 hiatus.

Two other teams in my last four had chances of big wins on Saturday, but both fell short. North Carolina recorded a 12-point loss to No. 9 Virginia, the ACC’s leader. The Tar Heels dropped to 12-7 in the season and still have no victory over a team in the current league. Indiana was dominated from the start in a 78-59 loss at No. 4 Ohio State. The Hoosiers dropped to 11-9 overall and 2-8 against opponents in Quadrant 1. Fortunately for them, the Big Ten offers plenty of chances for quality wins.

On Sunday there are a few double bubble matches, plus the first team in the series is in action. All times Oriental
