Boston Celtics get Orlando Magic’s Evan Fournier for picks

The Boston Celtics finalizes a deal to take over Orlando Magic guard Evan Fournier for two second round picks ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Magic has already traded Nikola Vucevic and now Fournier, and they were nice offers for Aaron Gordon. Rumors have it that the Celtics are on Gordon.

Orlando will amass significant design assets on Thursday and has young players Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz under a long-term contract.

The 28-year-old Fournier has averaged 19.7 points and 3.7 assists per game this season. He tries a career-best 7.2 3-pointers per game and makes 38.8% of that.

For his nine-year career, he averages 14.4 points per game. He gives the Celtics a solid scoring opportunity from the bench.
