Boone to Deivi Garcia by sending him to Yankees Triple A.

After a hand-to-hand fight between two Dominican pitchers for the last place in the rotation opener of Yankees, the manager of the Mules, Aaron Boone, Domingo decided to give Germán another chance, but the one to be sacrificed and sent to Minor Leagues was the young rookie Deivi Garcia

Last Friday at a press conference, the leader himself was in charge of explaining why sent Garcia to the Triple A branch, despite having an excellent performance in the Spring Training games he had to open.

“We are still very excited about Deivi. We will need him. It’s been a long season and both those guys and the rest of our starters will be counted in a great way.” It was the message that Aaron Boone conveyed to the 21-year-old right-hander from Bonao, Dominican Republic.

The good news for Garcia is that the Bronx Bombers manager himself said he might need a sixth starter in the month of April, whose position will most likely be awarded to him given his skills above the mound.

Deivi Garcia made his Big Top debut in August 2020. He finished with a 4.98 ERA after 34.1 innings labor in six starts.
