BOERNE, Texas – The city of Boerne will organize a COVID-19 vaccination center on Friday for 500 doses of the Moderna vaccine in the Catholic Church of St. Peter the Apostle.
According to a press release, residents can register on Wednesday at 9:00 am to reserve a vaccination slot on the website of the city of Boerne. A link to the registration forms will be posted on the town’s website and residents have the option to switch to the Spanish translation.
No one is admitted without an appointment and no registration is offered at the church.
Mayor Tim Handren urged people not to call the church, saying that because registration is only available online, family and friends may need to help those who may not be tech-savvy.
“If you have parents or grandparents who might need tech help to get you registered, and if you can help them out at 9 am, that would be great,” Handren said.

Only residents qualified to receive the vaccine in accordance with Department of State Health Services tier 1A and 1B should receive a vaccine, the press release said.
Once a reservation is confirmed, people will receive a follow-up email with appointment information. Residents are asked to show up no more than 15 minutes before their scheduled time.
