Blood borne can now be played at smooth 60 frames per second images thanks to the highly anticipated release of a unofficial patch. You’ll need a modified PlayStation 4 to try it out, but preferably a PS4 Pro.
The creator of the patch, Lance McDonald, is something of a video game archaeologist, with cool stuff on his resume, like discovering one Nier: Automata cheat code and in-depth investigations of PT environments. He started first tease his work on Blood borne early 2020 for it put the ball in Sony’s field, told the drooling fans that he would drop his patch as soon as it became clear that the PlayStation 4 game would not receive an official update or improvements on the PlayStation 5.
“I will release this patch publicly once the PlayStation 5 is released and Sony has made it clear whether or not it is Blood borne will be improved on that system in any way, ”McDonald said at the time. “Out of respect for PlayStation, I want them to get the first chance to put in 60 fps Blood borne in the hands of players. “
Now the day has finally come for McDonald to be gracious Blood borne players with his work. The required patch can be downloaded at his Patreon with a few important instructions, but figuring out how to ditch the game and make it work on a modified PlayStation 4 is entirely up to you.
“Enjoy it,” McDonald wrote.
